Google Calendar Setting Update: Events from Gmail

New update from Google automatically adding events to your calendar? Follow these steps to disable the new feature in Gmail and prevent the auto-creation of calendar events.

  1. On Google Calendar in your browser, click on your settings menu at the top of your screen and select Settings:
  2. Under General, on the left side menu, click Event Settings.
  3. In the Google Workspace smart features section (roughly halfway down the page), there will be an option to uncheck Show events from Gmail. Uncheck this box to hide events created by Gmail.

With that, the Facilitron emails should no longer trigger reservations to automatically display on your calendar.
