Some Districts desire to use the Work Order system to track tech support tickets in addition to traditional work orders. 


To accomplish this a new “Technical Support” purpose should be added to the purposes by going to Manage>Work Order Choices>Purpose and clicking add new. Add the new purpose and click the box “Display on New WOs for Site Roles.


Then while still in the purpose section ensure that only Routine Repair and Maintenance also has the box checked to display on New Work Orders for Site Roles.


The Admin responsible for processing tech tickets will select the purpose filter “Technical Support'' for their receive screen and click the box “Remember Purpose Filter.” This will cause this Recieve screen to only show tech tickets. The admin or admins responsible for procession Maintenance Work Orders will do the same thing only remembering the filter Routine Repair and Maintenance.
